Hello there, camera-wielding wanderer! How awesome it is to see you’ve stumbled onto my website! This is the blog section - or, at least at this point, will become the blog section. Currently it’s looking pretty empty, some cobwebs here and there, it has that uncomfortable echo that a house gets when it’s empty and you’re moving out; but we’ll make this into a thriving ecosystem of creativity yet! First of all, my name is Eric, and I will be the one writing to you during our time here. I want to accomplish a few different things with this blog, with different strings of topics that will mainly fall into 3 or 4 series. Here, let me show you:
1. Capturing Concepts
Once a week we’ll cover a new concept of photography, mostly basics of photography for those of you just starting out (shutter speed, aperture, ISO), but also including slightly advanced and more exciting concepts (bracketing, light-painting, and post-processing techniques)
2. Nit Pics
This series will focus on critiquing of mine which will give a full review of a photo and how it could be improved technically as well as artistically. These will only be the raw out-of-camera photos and not edited. A good way to recognize what needs to be worked on in order to improve oneself.
Living Photography: An Adventure Story
This series will be an almost everyday blog post about where I am at, what jobs I have coming up, any concepts or experiments I am trying, as well as it will eventually become a bit of an archive of my journey as a photographer. If no one reads it but an pruning version of myself in the future, then that is a-okay.
That will be the three main divisions of this blog to start. Excited to get started and start building from the ground up, its gonna be fun.
Keep Capturing,
Eric
